Revitalizing Downtowns
Our communities desperately need their downtowns and commercial districts revitalized. This will spur economic growth and drive people to the third district for restaurants, vibrant shopping and a more social atmosphere. County Executive Suozzi is working to create “cool downtowns,” which would greatly improve our community and I pledge to work with him to bring businesses to western Nassau. The residents of the Third District feel that their communities have been disregarded and that the downtowns are neglected, with too many vacant storefronts.
